Most people and business think that traffic increase is the only reason for SEO. Others just wanted some internet exposure. Those answers were absolutely true 5 or 10 years ago. Now days there is another answer to the same question: so the "competition" won't take our customers/clients.

Example: Your website was created as a mean to give people information about your products. Customers typed your domain name (www.mysite.com), found what they wanted (computers, tools, cloths, you name it!) and bought it. You didn't even know how Search Engines were taking command the way things were searched and founded in the internet.
